But this function is not guaranteed the work is the last queued. So, the destroyed instance may be accessed in the work which will try to enqueue later. In order to completely fix, we re-order the calling of cancel_work_sync() to make sure the work tipc_net_finalize_work() was last queued and it must be completed by calling cancel_work_sync().
Conclusion & alert: CVE-2022-49696 is rated Moderate Risk (41.8/100): CVSS High severity, with low exploitation likelihood (EPSS 0.11%). Mandatory action: Review affected assets and schedule remediation.
Risk is dynamic; we continuously reassess and refresh what is shown on this page as upstream context changes.
EPSS lead: Daily EPSS estimates relative likelihood of exploitation; percentile ranks this CVE among scored vulnerabilities (higher = more severe relative rank).
