GHSA-3mp7-vp6j-2mxx · Severity: low · Ecosystem: pip — BBOT: Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in docker_pull module via WWW-Authenticate realm parsing
The docker_pull module uses the realm parameter from a Docker registry's WWW-Authenticate response header as the authentication endpoint without validation. An attacker in a man-in-the-middle position between bbot and a Docker registry could modify this header to redirect the authentication request to an arbitrary endpoint, potentially leaking authentication tokens.
Conclusion & alert: CVE-2026-12566 is rated Low Risk (14.6/100): CVSS Low severity, with low exploitation likelihood (EPSS 0.17%). Mandatory action: Low composite risk—no urgent action required; patch on your normal maintenance cycle and revisit priority if CVSS or EPSS increases.
Risk is dynamic; we continuously reassess and refresh what is shown on this page as upstream context changes.
EPSS lead: Daily EPSS estimates relative likelihood of exploitation; percentile ranks this CVE among scored vulnerabilities (higher = more severe relative rank).
