GHSA-phwv-c562-gvmh · Severity: medium · Ecosystem: npm — Svelte vulnerable to XSS during SSR with contenteditable `bind:innerText` and `bind:textContent`
Svelte performance oriented web framework. Prior to version 5.53.5, the contents of `bind:innerText` and `bind:textContent` on `contenteditable` elements were not properly escaped. This could enable HTML injection and Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) if rendering untrusted data as the binding's initial value on the server. Version 5.53.5 fixes the issue.
Conclusion & alert: CVE-2026-27901 is rated Low Risk (25.4/100): CVSS Medium severity, with low exploitation likelihood (EPSS 0.21%). Mandatory action: Monitor for updates and reassess as exploit intelligence or EPSS changes.
Risk is dynamic; we continuously reassess and refresh what is shown on this page as upstream context changes.
EPSS lead: Daily EPSS estimates relative likelihood of exploitation; percentile ranks this CVE among scored vulnerabilities (higher = more severe relative rank).
