GHSA-qpg4-j99f-8xcg · Severity: medium · Ecosystem: nuget — ImageMagick has heap buffer overflow in WriteXWDImage due to CARD32 arithmetic overflow in bytes_per_line calculation
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 7.1.2-16 and 6.9.13-41, a 32-bit unsigned integer overflow in the XWD (X Windows) encoder can cause an undersized heap buffer allocation. When writing a extremely large image an out of bounds heap write can occur. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.1.2-16 and 6.9.13-41.
Conclusion & alert: CVE-2026-30937 is rated Low Risk (27.6/100): CVSS Medium severity, with low exploitation likelihood (EPSS 0.10%). Mandatory action: Monitor for updates and reassess as exploit intelligence or EPSS changes.
Risk is dynamic; we continuously reassess and refresh what is shown on this page as upstream context changes.
EPSS lead: Daily EPSS estimates relative likelihood of exploitation; percentile ranks this CVE among scored vulnerabilities (higher = more severe relative rank).
